We had our two week check up today. Carson's heart beat was down into the 140s. The doc felt around my stomach today and discovered Carson is breeched. She of course said not to worry since he still has time to get into position, but not worrying is easier said then done! I also have not gained a pound since the last time I went to the doctor! I swear I eat, I'm not sure why the scale doesn't show that. My doc always reminds me that her mother only gained 8lbs with her and she was a perfectly healthy baby, so only gaining 10lbs this far is ok. Regardless of the lack of weight gain and Carson being bottom down the doctor still feels we are both doing great!

Baby Shower!

Today was our fabulous baby shower, thrown by some wonderful friends and my family. Kyle had my mom and sister bring me a surprise shower gift from him, a digital video camera! He wanted me to open it first so we could record the shower. I was so touched by the gift I got choked up! So as soon as I learn to work it be expecting some short videos! (Thanks Jennifer for recording the shower today, Kyle enjoyed seeing how it all went.) Here is a just peek of some of the wonderful things everyone did for Kyle, Carson, and me!

 My friend Whitney and her future mother in law spent their Saturday afternoon making these yummy cookies. Some said "I love you Mommy","OU", "Carson", and others had ties on them.

Thank you to everyone who showered us with love today. We can not tell you enough how blessed we feel to have such amazing people in our lives that are helping to welcome Carson into this world. We were truly touched by all the wonderful gifts!

I will be 32 weeks on Tuesday! I can not believe we are 8 weeks away from meeting our little bundle of joy. Last Tuesday, Kyle and I started our birthing classes and we actually knew two couples in our class. That made the whole night a lot more enjoyable. Our teacher has a very funny sense of humor so it made us all feel more at ease. The first class was more like a brief overview of the whole birthing experience. We also learned a few relaxation exercises.We are anxious to see how this weeks class goes!

Kyle's work schedule is hopefully slowing down now, so I am very excited to spend some more time together and finish preparing for Carson!

30 weeks! The end is near!

We had our three week check up today. Things continue to look great! Carson's heart beat was 155. I have now gained close to 10 lbs., but there are times when I feel I am carrying around a lot more than that. We will go every other week until 36 weeks, and then we will go weekly. The closer to the end we get the more I find myself getting more and more nervous! Hopefully, with all we have going on the next couple of months I won't have too much down time to sit around and starting freaking out. 

 We start our birthing classes at the hospital next Tuesday. I am excited to get to see the delivery floor at the hospital and hopefully to gain some helpful birthing information.

A few friends, my mother, and sister are throwing us a baby shower the first Sunday in April. I am so excited to see everyone and to start filling up Carson's room!

Spring Break!

29 weeks and 11 more to go!

I am 29 weeks this week and I can tell we are on the final stretch of this journey. I have started feeling a little more uncomfortable and slowly getting tired again! Fortunately, I know something good is waiting at the end of this! My test from the last dr.'s appointment were all fine, so I feel things continue to run smoothly.

This week is Spring Break for me!! Kyle is still in the middle of "busy season" so we don't have any big plans. This past weekend we were able to work around his work schedule to go to Dallas for the weekend. We went to a friends wedding and another friends wedding shower! It was so nice to get a way even for a little bit to see such dear friends.

Yesterday was our last every 4 weeks appointment. Now that we are moving on to the third trimester we will go every 3 weeks and then every 2 weeks! I can not believe how fast time is flying by. When Kyle and I first found out we were expecting I thought I'd be pregnant forever!

Carson's heart beat is still in the 160s and the doctor feels like everything is going wonderfully. I only gained about a pound since the last visit, which really surprised me! I didn't think the glucose test was that bad. Our doctor is out of the office the rest of the week so we will not have any results till Monday.

I am almost 27 weeks as of today, so the 2nd trimester has almost come to an end! Everything is still going great! We go to the doctor Wednesday for my glucose test and monthly check up. I'm praying I pass the glucose test, I do love my sweets! I'm also anxious to see how much weight I have gained. These pass couple of weeks it feels like my belly gets bigger everyday.

Another Big Weekend!

Saturday after Kyle got off work we decided to start looking at cars for me. A two door car was going to be a bit of a challenge to get a car seat in and out of, so we knew we needed to get me a four door car. I have had my Honda Civic since my 18th birthday and absolutely love it, but I really felt I needed two more doors. So we went to go browse the car market. We test drove a few cars and looked at a couple of dealers, and towards the end of the day we decided to take a look at Carmax. Long story short we bought a car! Wasn't really the plan, but God had a newer four door Honda Civic waiting for us on the lot!

Today we decided to try and begin registering for Baby Carson. We started at Babies R Us. It truly is an overwhelming experience. Thankfully, we have many friends that can give us advice on items we should register for. We registered for quite a few items in the store, but we intend on making adjustments on line. Which I think will be a little less overwhelming. We also want to register at Target but Babies R Us was all I could take today!

I'm 25 weeks, and still feeling great! Carson continues to stay very active. Kyle and I both enjoy getting to feel him move around. Belly continues to get bigger and rounder, I think my belly button will pop out any day now!
